چکیده
<p>When wind energy conversion systems (WECS) are integrated with the Grid system then there power quality issues arises. The fluctuation in delivery to grid demands robust control for a better quality. Therefore, voltage and frequency stability due integration of is primary concern improve overall capability WECS. This paper reviews introduction WECS introduces dynamic that include sub-synchronous resonance (SSR), low ride through (LVRT), support from generation, synchronization, transients. Damping analysis of sub-synchronous resonance (SSR) in a wind farm based on DFIG in a series compensated network
The effect of wind generator on sub-synchronous resonance (SSR) is being interested by increasing penetration of wind turbine in power systems,. Purpose of this article is to analyze SSR in a wind farm based on doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) which is connected to compensating series grid. A dynamic model for analysis of induction generator effect and Torsional Interaction (TI) has been u...
متن کاملBifurcations Associated with Sub-Synchronous Resonance
This paper describes a set of results of detecting nonlinear phenomena appearing in a turbine generator power system with series-capacitor compensation. The analysis was based on the Floquet theory as well as t h e Hopf Bifurcation theorem. After t he first Hopf bifurcation, t he stable limit cycle bifurcates t o a stable torus and a n unstable limit cycle which connects to a stable limit cycle...
متن کاملA Framework to Analyze the Stochastic Harmonics and Resonance of Wind Energy Grid Interconnection
This paper addresses a modeling and analysis methodology for investigating the stochastic harmonics and resonance concerns of wind power plants (WPPs). Wideband harmonics from modern wind turbines (WTs) are observed to be stochastic, associated with real power production, and they may adversely interact with the grid impedance and cause unexpected harmonic resonance, if not comprehensively addr...

This paper studies power management in a grid-tied hybrid energy system consisting of photovoltaic array, wind turbine, fuel cell, electrolyzer, hydrogen storage tank and a combinational heating system to supply the thermal and electrical demand of a building. Moreover, the hybrid system is capable of exchanging power with local grid. Thus, variable daily buying and selling tariffs are also tak...
متن کاملApplication of an Additive Self-tuning Controller for Static Synchronous Series Compensator for Damping of Sub-synchronous Resonance Oscillations
In this paper, an additive self-tuning (ST) control scheme is presented for a static synchronous series compensator (SSSC) to improve performance of conventional PI control system for damping sub-synchronous resonance (SSR) oscillations. The active and reactve series compensation are provided by a three-level 24-pulse SSSC and fixed capacitor. The proposed ST controller consists of a pole shift...
